Our Recreational Ministry includes a wide variety of activities for children, high school students, and adults – from organized team sports such as basketball, flag football and soccer, to group fitness programs such as yoga, Pilates, and physical fitness programs for adults.
The Lighthouse has an inside walking track, cardio equipment, a weight room, fitness classes, and basketball court that is open to Vestavia Hills UMC members as well as the entire community. Whatever the activity might be, each is designed to achieve four primary objectives: witness, service, fellowship, and personal growth. Members are encouraged to bring guests to the Lighthouse. Each member may bring up to two (2) guests per visit. Any member desiring to bring more than two (2) guests at a time is asked to obtain prior approval from the Leisure Director.
We ask that all members and guests sign in at the front desk as you walk in. If you are interested in becoming a member of the Lighthouse then we only require that you watch the Fitness Orientation Video before using the Fitness Center and the one time purchase of a membership scan card.
