On April 23-25 the Birmingham community will be packaging up to 300,000+ meals through Rise Against Hunger (formerly Stop Hunger Now) in our Fellowship Hall. This is a community-wide opportunity to participate in a high-energy, family-friendly, all-ages and groups welcome event. This packing will provide high protein, delicious, vitamin-packed dehydrated meals for children in desperate need of nourishment. These meals will be delivered to schools and orphanages around the world! If you’d like to serve on the planning team, contact Rachael Hayes (rhayes@vhumc.org).

We want you to join the movement to end hunger in our lifetime!

Rise Against Hunger is VHUMC’s Lenten Offering this year. Help us reach our goal of 300,000 meals. Each stop hunger meal only costs $.29. Please be generous in helping provide these healthy, protein and vitamin-packed meals to children in need.

Stop Hunger Now’s meal packaging events are a fun, hands-on way to  make a difference and impact the lives of those suffering from hunger.
