Serve on teams to pray individually and corporately for individuals and/or events. Meetings and virtual options exist.

Includes serving meals, hosting the homeless, working at shelters, assisting with seasonal activities, planning for VHUMC service events, working on community projects, or participating in building, maintenance, or construction work.
Includes service with disaster response and relief, prison ministries, or participating in regional service opportunities.
Staff the front desk at the Lighthouse answering questions, distributing game room equipment, and answering the phone. Serve on a rotating basis.
Volunteer to coach or referee and Upward Sports event, either flag football, basketball, soccer, or cheerleading. Don’t have to have a child to serve.
Help lead elementary (K-5th grade) through music rotations and/or drive a van to pick up children from Vestavia schools.
Transport children (K-5th grade) from day school to COA classes.
Pick up from Vestavia Hills-area schools once/month on Wednesday, 2-3:15 pm. Serve on a rotating basis.
Lead a Bible study or class designed around a special topic in a small or large group setting. If interested, we will help you do this, lining you up with resources, assistants and/or any assistance needed, (even co-leading with you).
Teach on topics of your choice or on topics/studies with a set curriculum.
Help with periodic projects that come up during the year, (may be able to take home and bring back).
Lead a small group of 1st - 5th grade children on Wed. nights during the school year. Curriculum is provided.
Serve on a team to plan and implement events like Mother/Son Dinner, Daddy/Daughter Dance, Created for a Purpose, and etc..
Co-teach God's Word to the grade (1st-5th) of your choice. Rotate every other month with 2 other people during the school year, Curriculum provided.
Serve in a variety of ways to ensure kids (4K-5th grade) have a great week of learning God's word. VBC occurs once every summer.
